H.R. Network Executive Committee has made a public statement concerning Dr. Ahmadreza Djalali, an Iranian disaster medicine specialist who is facing imminent execution following the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold his death sentence in a secret session without allowing his lawyers to present their defense. Given that his trial was fraught with judicial irregularities, including the lack of any credible evidence to support the charges brought against him, the Executive Committee calls upon the Iranian government to take measures to ensure Dr. Djalali’s immediate and unconditional release from prison.
