Why do women represent more than half of the students in higher education whereas they are less present among university teachers and, more glaringly so, in positions of high responsibility ? Why are women a minority among researchers and especially in science ?
The French Institute invites you to talk about this issue with academics from France, Finland, Sweden and Norway. The Meteorological Institute provides the venue for this event in which the researchers, the public, and stakeholders can express their views, discuss their experiences, and think of measures to be taken to change the current situation.
The seminar aims to raise awareness on issues related to gender equality in science and debate about policies already implemented and those to come.
