ALLEA, the European Federation of Academies of Sciences and Humanities, and the Breakthrough have announced a partnership to further the shared goal of promoting a culture where science and scholarship can thrive.

ALLEA encourages everyone in the scientific realm to consider nominating colleagues for the Breakthrough Prize. Nominations can be made on the Breakthrough Prize nomination website.

The nominations window for the 2018 Breakthrough Prize is open until 31 May 2017.More information about the prize and the partnership on the ALLEA website.

The Council of Finnish Academies is the Finnish member of ALLEA.

The $3 million Breakthrough Prize was founded by Sergey Brin and Anne Wojcicki, Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan, Yuri Milner and Julia Milner, and Jack Ma and Cathy Zhang.
