The Finnish Academy of Technology (TTA) and the Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences in Finland (STV) are organizing the seminar: Science and policy in society – Technology impact on economy

 

Time: Tuesday 19 May, 6PM – 9PM

Place: House of Science and Letters, Kirkkokatu 6, Helsinki

 

The theme of the seminar will be discussed from a Finnish and a European point of vew. The speakers of the seminar are:

• Jan Marco Mueller (European Commission’s Joint Research Centre, Policy Officer for International Relations)

• Jari Romanainen (Tekes Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation, Executive Policy Adviser)

• Heikki Räisänen (Ministry of Employment and the Economy, Knowledge Management Department, Research and Foresight)

 

Jan Marco Mueller has worked at the Joint Research Centre since January 2015. Previously worked in the staff of the CSA (Chief Scientific Advisor) for the European Commission.

 

The seminar is in English and is chaired by the directors of TTA and STV, Ilkka Pöyhönen and Jarl-Thure Eriksson. An evening snack will be served at the end of the seminar.
