International Council of Academies of Engineering and Technological Sciences – CAETS

International Council of Academies of Engineering and Technological Sciences, CAETS (www.newcaets.org) is an international umbrella organisation for engineering and technological science academies who, as a global representative of engineering academies, issues statements on global questions related to actions of humanity. CAETS organises annual conferences on topical issues.

CAETS 2024 conference in Helsinki 1.–4.7.2024

The Council of Finnish Academies (CoFA) and the Finnish Academy of Technical Sciences (TTA) are hosting the 2024 conference in Helsinki. The theme of CAETS 2024 conference is Carbon Neutral Technologies and Society, that is, carbon neutral society, its prerequisites, and technical solutions. The EU and global perspectives are discussed, and the Finnish pioneering solutions are extensively communicated to the audience.

Conference participants represent the global height of engineering and industry fields. Representatives from engineering and technological science academies around the world will be participating, while industrial and political decision-makers observe the results of the meeting. The event presents an opportunity to introduce Finnish society and industry to a select target group.

Programme

Conference features a four-day programme. Day 1 is for administrative meetings of CAETS. Days 2 and 3 are for the public symposium. Part of the sessions are divided on academic and technical ones. Academic sessions are focused on global themes. Technical sessions are organized by sponsors and focused on the host country’s competences and industry.
